Accessibility Statement

WCAG 2.1 level AA as a floor rather than a target. Body text contrast on this site is checked against the rendered pixel and held well above the AA threshold, because the ageing eye loses contrast sensitivity long before it loses acuity.

• Body text of at least 16px, and a page that reflows without horizontal scrolling from 320px upwards.
• Visible keyboard focus on every interactive element, and a skip link to the main content.
• Text contrast at every stop of the page’s colour journey, not only on the plain background.
• No information carried on colour alone, and nothing meaningful carried on a blue-yellow distinction: the axis colour vision loses first with age.
• Nothing animates at rest, and the one animated moment is switched off for anybody whose device asks for reduced motion.
• Descriptive alternative text on photographs, written after looking at each one.

• The enquiry form has a label above every field, an error under the field it belongs to, and a status message that is announced rather than only shown. None of that has been tested by somebody using a screen reader daily.
• The site has not yet been tested with a screen reader by somebody who uses one daily. Automated checks are not a substitute for that and we are not going to claim otherwise.
• No independent accessibility audit has been carried out.
